In 2007 we, Arthur, Aukje, Tjitske, Diuwke and Bregje moved to Australia. We came from The Netherlands, where we lived a completely different life then we do here. Completely different, and yet... To us everything we do feels right.

Anyway. Our life in Australia started out with a 2 week stay in Hepburn Springs, where we came in contact with Permaculture. This proved to be an important coincidence!

After 2 weeks ( in which we bought a Landcruiser, sleeping bags, some pans and a travel guide) we took off on what turned out to be a 5 month trip around (middle and east) Australia. We where back in January, just in time for school and work to start again.

We moved in to a rental, vowed never to get animals, so that we could travel again at the first instance, and within 3 months we ended up with 2 ponies, a dog, a snake, 4 chooks, two rabbits and a house in Cockatoo where we were determined to build our own bit of paradise.

And that is where we are now....
